Wittenberg Lutheran Preschool in Leesville is seeking an enthusiastic, responsible, and creative teacher assistant to work 7am-1pm, Monday through Friday. We provide care for children in an environment that meets children's needs for healthy, physical, social, emotional, intellectual and spiritual development. High school diploma needed, childcare experience helpful, multitasking skills a must. We do abide by DSS requirements for childcare training hours and first aid training. After numerous conversations of interest and need for a Christian preschool in our community, Wittenberg Lutheran Preschool opened its doors August of 2011.
The purpose of Wittenberg Lutheran Preschool program, otherwise known as WLPP, is to provide care for children in an environment conducive to meeting the children’s needs for healthy, physical, social, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual development. The preschool is a ministry of Wittenberg Lutheran Church and is supervised by the Preschool Committee, who are church members that meet once a month to further assure the growth and well-being of WLPP. The Preschool Committee volunteer their time to prepare budgets and recommend policies for the congregation. The Committee will review, support, and assist the WLPP Director with pending business matters.
Enrollment
Enrollment for preschool is open to children ages 2 1/2 to 5. Enrollment for after-school is open to children in grades K4-5th Grade .
Enrollment will be granted without discrimination regarding sex, race, color, religion, or beliefs. To attend the preschool, a completed registration application, current immunization certificate, a non-refundable registration fee, along with a two-week deposit and material fee must be submitted prior to or at the time of enrollment in the program.
